Current residents who want to return to the residence halls or on-campus apartments must participate in the Returner Housing Selection Process. Depending on your housing requirement status, you might be applying for on-campus housing during the Fall semester (October/November) or during the Spring semester (February/March).
Babcock Hall: Students currently living in Babcock Hall follow a different returner process. Additionally, students interested in moving to Babcock Hall should still follow their process below, but can express interest in Babcock Hall. Resident Without a Housing Requirement
Submit Your Housing Application: Tuesday, October 15 - Monday, October 28, 2024
Current residents who do not have a housing requirement for 2025-2026 must submit their housing application between Tuesday, October 15 - Monday, October 28, 2024 in order to participate in the self-selection process. Current residents who submit their application after the deadline will be placed on the waitlist and housing offers will be made as space is available.
Availability of Spaces for Students without a Housing Requirement
Our goal is always to provide housing for as many students as possible that are interested in living on campus. We have made efforts in the last year to increase the number of spaces available to students without a housing requirement. On-campus housing is not guaranteed to student who do not have a housing requirement.
When considering housing options, we encourage students to think about both on- and off-campus housing.
We wanted to make you aware that if you select a space in on-campus housing and then choose to cancel your assignment, cancellation fees may apply.

| This phase is for current residence hall residents who want to renew to live in their SAME residence hall. At least one member of a roommate group must live in a residence hall for the group to be able to choose from available spaces in that community. | |

| Phase 4: Residence Hall Selection to Move to a Different Hall | |
| This phase is for current residence hall students to choose from available spaces in a different residence hall than they currently live. During this phase, students will see all available residence hall spaces at that time. | |

Timeslots: All timeslots are randomized. Students will receive timeslots for any phase that they are eligible to participate in. If a student receives a timeslot and does not want to participate in that phase, simply ignore that timeslot/phase and wait for the one you want to participate in.
Example: If a student currently lives in a residence hall (that they are eligible to renew to) they would be able to participate in Phases 2, 3 and 4.
- If they want to try for an apartment - they should participate in Phase 2. If they do not want to live in the apartments - they can ignore Phase 2.
- If they want to renew to their current hall, they should participate in Phase 3.
- If they want to move to a different residence hall, they can ignore Phase 3 and wait for Phase 4.
Once a student has selected a space, their process is complete and will no longer receive timeslots for future phases.

The 2025-2026 housing selection process for students with a housing requirement occurs in Spring 2025. Additional information will be available here in mid-November 2024.
Off-Campus Applicant
Students living off-campus cannot participate in the Returner Housing Selection Process unless they are part of a group where at least one applicant currently lives on-campus. If you currently live off-campus and have been asked to join a returner's group, please contact housing@spicydom.com. If you are not part of a roommate group and would like to live on-campus for the upcoming academic year, please complete a housing application to be placed on our waitlist. If a space becomes available, the UNH Housing team will reach out to you via your UNH email. On-campus housing is not guaranteed for students without a housing requirement.
